Personalistic dimension of ecclesia-forming catechesis

Abstract

The article addresses the personalistic dimension of the Church’s catechesis presented as a process of including children and young people in the mystery of the Church seen in a personal way, as the Communio Personarum et personarum. The personal view of the Church and the personalistic dimension of ecclesial education in catechesis is intended as a safeguard against understand- ing and grasping the Church in rheistic, institutional, hierarchical, juridical, and sociological terms. It is also meant to open up to anthropological, personalistic and communal dimensions. A new personal quality and a higher way of ex- istence for the person being catechized as coexistence with Christ should be the most important fruit of a personalistic introduction to the Church.
